Nollywood 2.0

Nollywood has mostly been about quantity not quality. It’s a strategy that has made it the he second largest film industry in the world in terms of number of annual film productions, placing it ahead of the United States and behind the Indian film industry. Sixteen years after the release of Living in Bondage, the industry is finally coming of age. Whereas the old Nollywood was fast and cheap, a new generation of film makers are emerging dedicated to quality Nigerian films – both in terms of production values and story lines. We talk Nollywood 2.0 with its upstarts.
