Writer’s Brief

“Souvenez vous de moi… ” (“Remember me, the Child Of Tomorrow”) an excerpt from a fiction story about a Congolese child soldier.

Amisi Serge was forcibly recruited as child soldiers in 1997, at the age of 11-12 years. He grew up in the Congolese army, engaged in war in DR Congo between 1997 and 2001.

Throughout this narrative, written between 2004 and 2008 in Lingala and transcribed and translated by Jc Lanquetin, he seeks his his truth in a world that constantly rocks the unimaginable.
